Notes from our clients

Nyack Seaport is a hidden gem. We held our recent December wedding there and I can’t say enough about the staff or venue. It is family-owned and they make you feel like one of the family as opposed to a larger impersonal banquet hall. They clearly care about food and are a restaurant style caterer; they were even so accommodating as to have a special meal prepared for my 92 year old grandfather! We held our ceremony there as well, with the Hudson River  in the background at sunset. Village of Nyack memorial park is next door and a great spot for photos. Cocktail hour and Viennese hour were fantastic. Valicitie is the wedding coordinator and she is responsive and thorough. Aileen, her assistant, and Audrey, the maitre d were experts. I highly recommend Nyack Seaport as the perfect spot for a wedding.

Dear Valicitie and Angelo,

Thanks so much for hosting The Nyack Chamber again last night, for our  kick-off After Hours meeting of 2019.

You are generous to the chamber and our neighbors, and are great supporters  of the Village Of Nyack.

We thank you!

Roger.

Dear Ms. Rubino and Mr. Rubino,

We would like to thank you and your family for making our stay at your  lovely ballroom so comfy, cozy and home-y for our memorial service for my  brother, Eric Ripp. From the very beginning, we had so much help from your  wonderful staff, who extended themselves above and beyond the call of duty and  certainly exceeding our expectations (in truth, we never knew we would need so  much help!). We are deeply grateful for everything that was done over the course  of the event, starting with our setup at 10:45 am. I deeply appreciated all your  suggestions and assistance carrying in all the event supplies, and placing them  on the tables. The room was perfect for our needs, and most of all, I am  indebted to you and your father for helping us to get the PowerPoint  presentation operable. I worked on it until 4 in the morning the day of the  event, and it meant the world to me and to our guests to be able to see all  those photographs of Eric telling the story of his life. Lastly, we were so  grateful to you for your delicious food laid out in such a fine  presentation...it was inviting, elegant, and prepared with care and was a big  hit with the guests. I especially appreciated the finely cut, and ripe fresh  fruits, cheeses, rare crackers, and the colorful medley of perfectly prepared  vegetables. I am partial to salmon and yours was lovely with the sauce which did  not overpower the tender flesh. Our guests appreciated the herbed chicken, and  gobbled up the vegetarian lasagna. Your fall salad was perfectly balanced with  walnuts and cranberries, and fine baby mesclun, and the fresh mozzarella on ripe  tomatoes hit the spot! The cookies and desserts on the table were a nice touch.  Once again, please accept our thanks for helping create a ‘home’ for our  gathering to say farewell to my beloved brother!

Blessings and our warmest thanks.

Sincerely,

Wendy Ripp Bounan, and Max Bounan

P.S. Thank you for sending me this copy of the PowerPoint!

Hi Angelo
I just wanted to follow up and say thanks for everything with the party. Everyone had a great time and everything went smoothly.
Our waitress did a great job. She even went to the downstairs bar to get a special drink for my Mom. The manager  did a great job. She coordinated my parents cutting the cake and made sure the timing of ordering food, champagne toast, first song, and I am sure a ton of other things) all went off without a problem. And Valicitie was there making sure everything went smoothly.
Food was great. Service great. View was awesome. Only heard great things from all of our guests.
Thanks again  M Michael Sciacca  ichael Sciacca

Dear Angelo,

We want to thank you so much for making Julie and Adam's September 8th dream wedding a reality. The Nyack Seaport is such a beautiful venue, and after meeting with you, Angelo, we decided (without looking at any other locale) to immediately book the wedding with you.

It was wonderful working with you and Valicitie. You were both so calm, understanding, professional, and accommodating-Nothing we asked for was too much for you to do. You immediately responded to our many phone calls. We quickly developed a complete trust in you and your team, and we were never disappointed.

We recommend the Nyack Seaport without reservation. Our family could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you again for the wonderful memories.

Valicitie, Angelo, Audrey, and the team at The Nyack Seaport curated a perfect wedding day for my husband and me. Valicitie remembered every detail and personally answered every email, question, and phone call. We were not the easiest couple to work with, as we had recently been disappointed by another venue that fell through. At the beginning, we were cautious and guarded, but the Rubino Family went well above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and to assure us that our wedding day would be magical. From our delicious food tasting, to the numerous face-to-face tours and visits, to the prompt communication, to the rainbow that hung in the sky on the day of our wedding, everything felt meant to be. During the planning phase, Valicitie recommended local vendors, including the amazing florists at Basset Flowers and Gifts and the bakers at A Little Cake. She worked behind the scenes with our DJ, photo booth company, photographer, and pianist; we didn't worry about a thing. Both our ceremony and reception were held at The Nyack Seaport. As two people who have grown up near The Hudson, it was deeply meaningful to take photos by the river. As we were saying our vows, the sun was setting behind us over the water. At the end of the night, our photographer took some incredible long-exposure photos with The Mario Cuomo Bridge in the background. Here are just a few more of the ways that The Nyack Seaport honored us on our wedding day: -Our guests with wheelchairs and other special needs received the accommodations and attention they needed to move about the venue safely and enjoy themselves all night -Pre-ceremony, Valicitie personally fixed my husband's boutonniere when it was falling off -Our specialty artisanal cocktail was hand-mixed for each guest -The food featured seasonal Hudson Valley produce and flavors -Our guests all raved about the cocktail hour food and their entrees--no one left hungry! -Guests with special dietary needs (including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) all had entree options and multiple items to choose from at cocktail hour -Audrey was our personal attendant; she quietly noticed our needs before we did, for example by picking up my husband's jacket whenever he took it off while dancing and having it ready when he needed it for cake-cutting photos -Besides our delicious wedding cake from A Little Cake, dessert included a warm apple dumpling and ice cream Other features that made The Nyack Seaport a great choice for us: -Valet parking -Bridal suite -Uplighting available through the venue -Spacious dance floor--a must for us! -Outdoor cocktail hour on the patio -Did we mention that the food was delicious? -Extensive selection of liquors and craft beers -Close enough to the Tarrytown train station to be accessible via rideshare for guests coming from NYC -Great connections with other businesses in the community; Angelo made a few calls on our behalf to local hotels, for example If we haven't given you enough reasons to hold your wedding at The Nyack Seaport, reach out yourself. As soon as you meet the Rubinos and see the space, you will feel the romance, elegance, and love that we felt.
